Crock Pot Pork Chops

- 4 boneless pork chops
- 1 package mushrooms diced
- 1 package dry onion soup mix
- 1/2 cup white wine (drink the rest of the bottle while cooking)
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup

Brown the pork chops and in olive oil and then place in the crock pot. Dump all the other ingredients in and cook on low for around 5 hours. I serve over rice or egg noodles.

Beyond easy and delish.

  1. Ok, so I totally made this for Sunday dinner.... beyond easy... I don't know about that... doable... yes! 5 hrs in the crock pot takes some planning which I am SOOO bad at. So of course I slept in til 10:00, it's Sunday and I'm pregnant, then I had to go get my breakfast on at the All Good Cafe in Deep Ellum, again pregnant. That place was pretty good but it's crazy hot in there, I guess that is what they mean by an "Austin Cafe", a bunch of sweaty hippies serving and eating breakfast... but a pretty good pancake. Anyway, then I had to go back home, make my shopping list and go to the grocery store, which I really hate. And yes, I need a list for the 5 items needed to make this, I'm easily distracted. I finally made it home and browned up those pork chops like a champ. My husband John likes to make everything real difficult and insists that I use bone in pork chops for him, I had boneless... bones in meat are gross. SOOOO, I finally got everything in the crock pot and ready to go at 3:00.... so dinner is at 8:00. Of course John cried when I told him the time, he thinks it's 1965 and dinner on Sunday should be at 5:30, whatever, cook it yourself. Needless to say it all turned out really good and I'm sure we'll make it again. Oh, and it was just fine after cooking for 4 1/2 hrs if your husband is crying in the living room about having dinner so late.
